Location: Gastonia Convention Center

The first Carolina Sound: Music and Record Expo will bring together record vendors, collectors, music fans, musicians, record labels, artists, and industry professionals to celebrate all aspects of the rich history and growing independent music scene in the Carolinas. The event will be built on the model of the traditional record show with over 90 vendor tables selling all forms of physical media. In addition we are inviting Carolina based record labels, recording studios, graphic artists, guitar sellers, guitar makers, and more, to provide an experience with a little something for everyone. 

Additional attractions:

Refreshments will be available from Cavendish Brewing and several local restaurants. The event is located in a social district which will allow patrons to move around freely between the venue and the food truck area. Local live music venue The Rooster is also hosting their annual Brewstock Music Festival, with headliners The Butcher Babies. We will be co-promoting the events beforehand, and on the day of, to increase attendance.

WSGE, a local independent music station, will provide promotion leading up to the event plus on-site coverage the day of the event.
